Other things to look for are misspellings and how they’re addressing you. For example, Dear PayPal Member… In general PayPal will use your name here.

It’s always a good idea to go straight to your account to check for issues.

the email address is created through Google Mail (aka Gmail). Most reputable companies use their own email domain and most individuals use Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, MSN Mail, Hotmail, and etc. I could use an email address like radek@mystressfreelifestyle.com to make it more official, but I chose to use a Hotmail account. Reputable companies don’t rely on Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo Mail. Identity thieves tend to create fake accounts at these providers since they are disposable and that’s why you should be aware.
