Greg Garang: Dear Beloved – Financial Fraud & ID Theft
Greg Garang <g.garang@yahoo.co.uk> Dear Beloved is a Nigerian Scam with financial fraud and id theft as its main objective. Avoid Nigerian Scams like this one:
Dear Friend,
I am writing to seek your mutual assistance to actualize my aspirations and vision in life. My name is Greg garang,
18 years old, from Dafur, Sudan. It is no longer news the World over that my country is in turmoil. It was a topical issue in the recent 56TH SESSION OF THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY, held in New York. My father who is a very senior government official was brutally murdered by the rebels.
Recently, as the only child, ours family lawyer disclosed his “WILL”, with shocking revelation that he deposited the sum of (US$7,500,000.00) Seven Million, Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars Only with a security firm based in Nigeria, west Africa which he intend to invest after retirement from active service in government before his untimely death. This act is a common phenomenon amongst African government officials.
At the moment, with the help of our lawyer, may I crave your indulgence, to solicit your cooperation to stand and receive this fund on my behalf considering my age as indicated above.
Our plan is to invest part of the fund and disburse the rest. This will discussed substantially and more detailed, if you accept this proposal. Kindly forward your address and telephone number to this e-mail which I will have to give to our lawyer to take it up from there, as I am not well disposed to handle this transaction due to the sum involved and its technicality.
Revert back to the under signed.
Yours Sincerely,
Greg
One of the main reasons that Nigerian scams have a high success rate is the fact that Nigeria is a third world country. Meaning, warm-hearted people may feel that the author of the email may need help as he is deprived of many liberties that some of us take for granted. The fact is, a lot of Nigerian scams originate in European countries like UK for example.
Forward this post to those that can benefit from this information and don’t forget to bookmark this site and subscribe to the feed. All the best.
