Illegal online pharmacies & identity theft may be a new concept to most of you. However, if you go back to the first word of the sentence you will know what I mean. I have received plenty of emails that directly or indirectly try to sell me prescription drugs such as Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra.

I highly recommend that you do not use the services of an Internet based pharmacy selling drugs that can only be prescribed by doctors. The whole point is that drugs that are illegally sold on the Net are a part of an illegal company or a sole proprietorship or identity thieves or fraudulent crime rings or terrorists or… you get the point. Don’t be tempted to click and whip out your credit card to purchase something that may not be the real deal. Even if it is the real deal you may be breaking the law in your respective country by purchasing drugs over the Internet without the proper authorization from your doctor.

Your spam filter should have picked this phishy email up, but if it didn’t I hope you understand that clicking over to an online store filled with panaceas can cost you your identity. Many identity theft rings have side ventures, perhaps an illicit online drug store, that serves as a vehicle in the gathering of personal information. In turn, they make a little profit off of the need that you have while you willingly sign your credit away.

Credit card logos like this one are often used to show the potential visitor or victim that the web site is a reputable one and that you can rest assured that your Visa’s or Master Card’s 16 digit account number will be gladly appreciated. Protect your identity by being more cautious and less naive. Perhaps your purchase may yield you the treasures that you desire, all  without a hitch. However, the safety of your identity and your family jewels lies in your hands, so consider yourself warned.
