Something that jumps out at me is:
- the writing style is horrible, hence very unprofessional
- why is this email coming to me?
- do I know this Mike Udoh guy?
- why doesn’t Mike use a secretary to professionally write this letter to me? At least I would feel that a kinder-gardener didn’t write it.
- Where does $950,000 come from?
- What’s the catch?

The catch is that you provide all the personal information above. Your full name and address will be used to assess the geographical area you live in, particularly your neighborhood. The con artists may be looking to target people in a certain area. Perhaps one where they can have physical access to.
The telephone number may be used to call you regarding the illicit transfer. You will most likely have to come up with several hundred or even thousand dollars to receive your huge compensation. Only you will not be receiving it, as that would be just silly.
Now the best part. I don’t see this one often. A copy of your picture is a great way for the criminals to assess your susceptibility to getting conned based on your biological features: age, smile, facial attributes, body type, and other small factors that make a stereotypical image come to mind. For example, your body weight or dark lines under you eyes may indicate that you are tired, stressed, or depressed and maybe in need of a solution. Identity thieves, con artists, and other criminals are often keener than psychologists in identifying weaknesses that can be beneficial to their devious endeavors.
In short, this email is a scam. Therefore, you should not contribute to your own demise by providing the personal information listed. You would be surprised how many people sent reply emails to Mike Udoh’s secretary: Dr. Macdon Frank (frank.macdon@yahoo.ca). The count is probably in hundreds or maybe even thousands. Their identity and financial future may be jeopardized due to lack of knowledge and greed. My best advice for some of you is to ask yourself this question: Is this email really for me? If you have even an ounce of doubt come back to the identity theft blog for more lessons in identity theft prevention and common sense infusion.
