Mr. Wong Shiu Ki – Treat As Urgent

Mr. Wong Shiu Ki – Treat As Urgent is an email that is most likely after my identity and money. This fraudulent email seems to involve funds coming to the person that responds from the Bank of Taipei Taiwan.

Email Scam Bank of Taipei Taiwan

Take some visual notes from the above image.  There are two major discrepancies.  One, this fake email has two email addresses.  Two, those two addresses are Yahoo and Google domain.  This email seems to be a scam in the making.  Mr. Wong Shiu Ki [wong@yahoo.com], we come prepared!

Email Scam Bank of Taipei Taiwan 2

The email starts very nice with a “compliment of the day” to me.  I feel very flattered, so far.  However, I feel confused to why the International Bank of Taipei is CaPiTaLiZEd so weirdly?

Wait… a sensitive and confidential brief.  Yes, you should keep your sensitive information confidential in order to prevent identity theft. Mr. Wong doesn’t need it!

Please, tell me you know someone in Taiwan.  If you do, do you expect any funds coming to you from Mr. Wong Shiu Ki?  I didn’t think so :-)

Email Scam Bank of Taipei Taiwan Fraud

Don’t be a fool thinking that you will get 30% of this illegitimate transaction.  Most likely you will have to pay upfront costs in order to “further facilitate the process.”  In addition, I am getting a vibe that I should keep this email confidential as I don’t want to cause any more political problems.  What about the problems of identity theft, financial fraud, drug smuggling, and other hard crimes that happen in the world.  Will we stay silent for political sake?

Scam - Bank of Taipei Taiwan

There is no two weeks and there is not cut of the money.  Time to wake up and smell the coffee.  Do you see the Google mail: wngshiuki729@googlemail.com. That should help you establish that this is a big scam. The email is designed to instill confidentiality and initiate an action via email.  Any further interactions will be dealt via email and/or over the phone.  Don’t fall a victim of this email scam.  Prevent identity theft and make sure you dispose of such emails in a jiffy.
